We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified and registered ECE teacher to join our awesome team.

THIS IS A PERMANENT POSITION:

My Treehut is a small locally Taupо̄ owned, ECE centre for one- to five-year-olds.

My Treehut is a home away from home for our team, Tamariki and whānau. We have a very beautiful, natural outdoor space where we learn through play and our Adventure Van to get out and about in nature in our community.

Our Treehut programme is nature based with a strong Te Ao Maori focus.

 

My Treehut offers:

  • Full Pay parity
  • Low ratios – 1:4 for under threes, 1:8 for 3-5 year olds
  • Lots of professional development opportunities
  • 5 hours non-contact time per week
  • Mahi time twice a term
  • Days in lieu if PD on weekends

Relievers needed!

Casual Relief Positions

Seeking relievers – qualified ECE teachers (Kaiako) and unqualified 

We are looking for unqualified relievers or trainee teachers for casual relief cover.

This position may create the opportunity for more permanent work if you are well suited to My Treehut team and philosophy.

You must have:

  • A love of children and nature
  • Some flexibility in hours and days,
  • Show initiative and follow directions happily
  • Be an understanding and supportive team member
  • Be happy to muck in and get dirty

This position is based in Taupō and is an opportunity to become part of our My Treehut and The Cubby relievers list. My Treehut is a privately owned centre for children aged 1 to 5 years, and our philosophy is based on nature and whānaungatanga.

We are proud that we have 15% male Kaiako at My Treehut and we encourage and support male involvement in ECE.
